Peterson & Smith is a state-of-the art, 24/7, equine practice offering extensive services ranging from their first response ambulatory team to their hospital specialists and premier full-service reproduction center. Over 30 years old, it’s the 3rd largest equine practice in the US.
Sports Medicine Center: Equipped with a nuclear scintigraphy unit and high-speed diagnostic treadmill, the Center’s goal is to provide the latest in diagnostics, relating to lameness or poor-performance horses.
Equine Reproduction Center (PSERC): Peterson & Smith established the state-of-the-art reproductive center. Situated in the southern part of Marion County, the PSERC conducts all aspects of assisted reproduction. We maintain one of the largest recipient mare herds in the southeastern United States. Our experience, expertise and facilities allow us to offer different options by which a breeder can participate in a successful ET program.
